What counts as a material correction
A correction is material when it changes a specification, product identity, compatibility statement, recommendation, or another fact that could alter a buying decision.
How corrections are handled
1. Review. We review the questioned claim, the evidence originally used, and any new supporting source.
2. Correction. The public page is updated when the evidence supports a change.
3. Record. The substantive update date and internal completion record are revised.
4. Reader context. A visible correction note is added when readers need to understand what changed and why.
Routine updates
Spelling, formatting, clarity, and other changes that do not affect the buying decision may be corrected without a separate public note.
